A rather Good Day

Spent most of the day going through Old Personal papers and shredding a lot. I do this about twice a year...around my birthday then again about 6 months later. Also cleaning up files on the puter...so many pictures, movies and gif's a lot of duplicates....

Sometimes I feel so foolish at the stuff I save...

But hay...I enjoying my self...

Made a Good supper tonight....Calf's Liver with Saute Vidalia Onions and Cream Corn...

I should have taken a picture of it...But I started eating and did not even think of it...

Welcome to my Friday night

Well the Sun is on its way down, it's about 06:50 PM or 1850 hrs.  Its been a Good Long day so far....
Got up about 0600 this morning , it was a sunny start to the day...I was able to go and do some food shopping...was not to bad...did not spend a lot but enough. Will make it till next Friday when my check comes in..God Willing..Started clouding up about 1400 and Rain about 1500 on and off since then...

I've just been goofing off..after putting the Groceries away...Reading and catching up on the Days News...playing on the net...

Tonight's supper was...

These Dinners are 2 Servings (Right) I Add...

2 hand fulls of thawed Shrimp...

  

Makes a Good Meal for less than $1.50...

Hump Day

I don't know if this still means the same as it used too...But in days (years) gone by Wednesday was a key day in my life...Now it's just a night that some Favorite Programs are on TV...LOL

I know it was all worth it...

Age really does not matter...

I don't know it has been a strange day....I'm tired and when I try and rest, I want to be up doing things...
Don't have the Energy to do a lot of the things I want too...I have been doing my breathing exerciser 3 times a day, I just did the last one for today...

Some of the things, I have been up-to...Some wanted to know the color of my eyes, when I told them Green they did not believe me...What do you think...?

When I get upset or angry they go to a light Gray...

A little bit better lighting...still green...

180 deg.s of Separation

When I was a kid and I was digging holes in the backyard...I always wondered if I could dig a hole straight down where would I come out....Someone once told me I would come out in China... thats not entirely true...I have looked at Maps and the Globe, its always been in the back of my mind...Well I have found the answer in a 2009 Issue of Nat.Geo.

So growing up in New England and digging straight down 180 deg.s...I would have ended up in the Southern Ocean now in Florida I would be in the Indian Ocean...LOL...Glub Glub...

Good Day @ the VA.

Went to the Va. Hosp. today for my 6 month check-up...Doc, Said I'm Good for another 6 months or 600 Miles...No Warranty included....

Had a good Steak n Cheese Sandwich (Toasted/Pressed) with Freedom Fries...

Got a New Toy (Exerciser)..A Volumetric exerciser...

Incentive Deep Breathing Exerciser.....(Incentive...???)

It has been a long Day and a short night...last night neighbor playing Music till mid-night then their Friends out side loud talking....Sooo going to shut this down early...

Bummer of a Sunday Evening

My Favorite Football team lost...the Defence was not playing well..

                         It's still early enough in the season and we do play the
                                            NY. Jets again on 06 Dec.


I can only hope that they get their S**t together for the next game...They play Buffalo @ home..
This is always a tough game...

I did make a good Meal today...Boneless center-cut Pork Chops that were butterflied, I covered them (2)
with Applesauce and Baked them in a Glass Dish and had Rice on the side with cream corn....Came out good...Good Night All...

Lay back Saturday

It's about 12:30 PM, I just don't feel like doing anything...did not sleep well last night...no reason that I can tell...So I guess I'll just fool around on here and FB...

Long Day

As I posted before about my cousin, 'A Day of Mourning' all the memories that keep pop in and out of my mind...Plus the E-Mails and Messages...
I can not Dwell...I will only have Happy Memories...

But other things Vex us the living...Heard on the Grapevine (rummer mill) the powers that be are raising the rents after the first of the year...

Also it seems that the city of Miami is getting ready to dig up the street in front of the building I reside in...

The dashed white line in the center of the street, where there is an (x) 3 spots is where the pipes join to the Main...As you can see where they had to do a repair about 2 years ago Lg. rectangle left side. That area has become a depression...they had to do a hole patch about a month ago...The pipe that joins there comes from the parking lot side of the street...The other 2 spots right center come from the property that I live on....

They were also marking where other lines are, under the sidewalk this could be Telephone Cables...

All  I know is that when they start these projects, they tend to stretch them out (milk them).....

This is also the Main Drive Way for the Buildings...

Oh well time to put this Day to Rest....

A Day of Mourning

I just found out that my cousin Cheryl pass away this past  ?? Wednesday ?? We grew up together in the same 3 family house...Cheryl was like my little sister that I never had...even though I was only 9 months older...

It's like another Chunk of my Heart has been Ripped out...

It is times like this that remind me of how fleeting life really is...

I will aways Remember Cheryl as the Beautiful Young Girl that I would catch Lighting Bugs with...

May all who's lives She has touched Remember Her with LOVE...

Interesting Day

Well I made it to the VA. Hosp. today...

There has always been a problem with parking, I have not Driven there in about Three years, I have always taken Public Transportation or STS (Special Transport Service) $3 a one way trip...But today was my worst nightmare...Drove around the Building and out the other side...They had done some building (Fisher House) and are continuing with Improvements....Anyway I go back to the parking lot entrance, I had seen some Construction Trucks by the back of the Fisher House Apts. so I went over there and there were a few parking spots...They have Golf Carts that pick you up and drop you off at an Entrance...

Follow the Yellow brick Road in and out the far side...

Then the Red Road to my Lucky Spot and the Blue Road to an Entrance...

People do not Realize how Big the VA. Hosp. is most only see the Front....

(When I worked there I spent most of my time in the Basement...LOL...)

OK...I go and check-in only had about a five minute wait till my number was called...Right goto Lab...I'm not in the Computer..no request from my Doctor for 'Blood Lab' work...So they call his Nurse, she tell lab people 10 min. HaHaHa...half hour later  still no request...they call again...It's on it's way...another 10 min. Yea they finally get it...So they take five vials of MY BLOOD...I have to say the Ladies that work there are Great...I felt my Tech. put the rubber strap in my arm and tap in my Elbow area when I looked back she had two vials filled...That Quick..I have had others that have kept sticking me and ask if they could take the Blood from my Hand...

Also they felt sorry for me so they gave me a Chit for a Free Lunch...LOL...

Cool Down... NICE

Lots of Rain Today..But it cooled down, I've had the windows open all day. On and off Down pours and nice breezes...Got to do a lot on some of my Pages.

I will Attempt to go to the VA. Hosp. First thing in the Morning...If the Rain Gods allow...

Rainy Days are Tuesdays

I was Hoping to go to the VA. Hosp. this morning...When I got up at 06:00AM it looked like a good weather day...Sun was coming up, sky had a few puffy clouds....That was the last time I looked outside my Cave...Got all Dressed, my Oxygen all set and ready to Go...NOT....Now It's 09:30AM....

And it's a South Florida Monsoon...I'll give it a few hours...

The End of a Good Day

Well it stayed Hot and Humid all Day and it still is...Had to go out this afternoon, to do some work on my car.... so I waited till the shade of the building was over my car. Then I wondered out of my Den...

Had to put a New Parking Sticker on the Windshield...Plus check the Oil, the Idiot light has been coming on...Have to do some Traveling this week...Have to do Some Blood Lab work this week at the VA Hosp.
I know what those Vamps. in the Lab do with all that Blood....

also have to buy some shorts they are on Sale this week....At the VA Canteen...And get a Meal in the Cafeteria...

Here we are in the middle of Sept. and it is Still Hot n Humid...It is now about 10:30 Monday Morning and I've got to turn on the AC again...It is 94deg.F and 71% Humidity....

But it's still Hot and Humid at 9:30 PM...It's 92deg. Heat Index with 72% Humidity..EECH...

Almost all Americans, Remembered (9-11-2001) Yesterday...In Respectful and Peaceful Demonstrations...

But there are always a few that have use this Day to further their own Agenda...

And then...The burning of a Quran and an American flag Saturday by members of Westboro Baptist Church drew little visible interest.

These people that are looking for their fleeting moments of Fame...

They tend too do more Damage to America then anything else, they undermine the the First Amendment...

So we have to Learn by our 'Mistakes'...

And I've made it this far...I may have pissed off a few people today...I hope they get over it, Life is to short...I know that few have got my ire up to day....It's the same old thing, people posting OLD News...
Trying to get other people all rilled up...The news was about Five years old and this guy was acting and posting like it happened a few days ago....all the lemmings were out raged that this had happened, like only yesterday...These are the people, I just wish I could grab and slap till they get their act together...

So just in case I'll back this up and be back later...I'm back, your all so Lucky...LOL...

I did accomplish a few things on here the 'Blog' ...Added the counter Map...

It has been a Good Day, so far not much left to it...Even though at times I felt as if I was Yelling at Clouds...

I did try and listen to the 'o'man and his speech, I just could not do it..I ended up yelling at the TV...
